Iran's MIS signs deal with Wuhan Petrochemicals on fertilizer plant: report
Dubai (Platts)--15 Feb 2017 922 am EST/1422 GMT
Masjid Soleyman Petrochemical Industries Co, or MIS, has signed a $3.6 billion agreement with China's Wuhan Petrochemicals Co for the construction of a new fertilizer complex in Iran, state-run Mehr news agency reported Wednesday.
Mehr gave no details of the agreement except that it was signed by MIS' managing director, Yousef Davoodi, and a representative of the Chinese firm.
MIS, a privately owned company, plans to build a fertilizer complex in the Khuzestan province in southwest Iran to produce around 750,000 mt/y of ammonia and 1.2 million mt/y of urea.
MIS wasn't immediately available for comment on the matter Wednesday.
